So..

Everyone and their brother (or sister) seems to be blogging now. Interesting how some of the writers engage their readers so well that they just keep coming back (Momtoa6pack and Dooce are two that grabbed me). Others use their blogs to share scraps, layout pages and miscellanea they've created. Yet others use their blogs to vent. Oh yeah, those I avoid like the plague. They remind me of a play we saw in New York a long time ago. The best thing I could say about it was that it was like being a peeping tom ... and peeping on a family I would not want to get to know!

Anyway, I decided to get this going. I've had a blog before but I'm not sure it's even still available. I used it to post pictures of Luke and if I can get something similar to work here, I'll try to do the same thing. I haven't yet decided if I'm going to try to make scraps although I have Photoshop now, I just haven't installed it. I'm thinking it might be interesting to explore making things. That's after I get a tutorial written.

I have an idea and did up one sig tag for my sister that I liked but it seems to be missing something. See, I haven't written a tutorial in a couple of years because it seems that everything is out there. If you want to learn to do text in a circle, goggle it. Interested in animating in PSP? Google it. So many of the techniques are easily found now. To me a tutorial is a method of teaching so if the method is easily found elsewhere, or easily figured out, why bother writing a tutorial? I never wanted to have tutorials that just resulted in a duplicate of my tag. I wanted (and still want) them to teach. So I'm still thinking about this one and playing with ideas. Cee tells me that I have to remember there are beginners out there that may not know how to do things. That's a very good point actually and one I'm trying to keep in mind.

Here's what I've got so far...It's called Irish Eyes. It's dedicated to a lovely lady, my sister of the soul, Cee. She's so like me that we've decided we have to be sisters born to different mothers. I've got the tutorial partially written up but I have been playing with animating. Unfortunately, animating this tag makes the file size just too large. I think it'll end up going on my site unanimated.
